Arnob Dutta
DC4 - CNRS
Arnob holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Guwahati and a Master’s in Physics and Engineering in Medicine from University College London. His research focuses on the design, simulation, and testing of mechanical systems, particularly in biomedical applications such as medical devices, prosthetics, and orthotics. He has worked on projects involving metamaterials, including serving as Co-Investigator on a study developing origami-inspired auxetic metamaterial composites for orthotic insoles. His Master’s thesis explored Physics-Informed Neural Networks for modeling organ motion.
With experience in project management, database organization, and recruitment, Arnob has contributed to an NIHR-funded UK-wide project aimed at improving prosthetic control. He has presented at international conferences and holds a published patent in metamaterials. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD at CNRS/University of Lille within the MetacMed project, focusing on the development of metamaterial-based devices for energy harvesting and their application in orthotic insoles.
