Anusha Rehman
DC8 - University of Warwick
Anusha earned her Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from Habib University, Karachi, Pakistan, in 2021, graduating as an HU TOPS Scholar. Following a year of professional experience as an IoT Engineer, she was awarded a full scholarship covering tuition and living expenses to pursue a Master’s degree in Photonics Engineering, a prestigious joint program offered by Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and Ghent University in Belgium. Her academic research includes optimising grating structures using deep learning for her undergraduate thesis and the development of 3D polymer-based Mach-Zehnder Interferometers (MZIs) for biosensing applications during her Master’s studies. In the latter, she leveraged the advanced Two-Photon Polymerization technique to achieve highly precise and efficient sensor designs. Currently, Anusha is a PhD candidate at the University of Warwick under the Metacmed project, and she aims at developing innovative metamaterials to advance ultrasound screening technologies.
